• Girls’ Basketball Tournament Preview
The South Jersey girls’ basketball state tournament begins on Feb. 27 and, as usual, many of the Groups are considered up for grabs. Here is a look at the tournament.
In South Jersey Group 1, the top seed is a second-year program, Cedar Creek. The seeding is justified and this will be a difficult team in this tournament. Leading the way for Cedar Creek are the Stefanski quadruplets: Monique, Morgan, Mercina and Mikila.
• St. Augustine Exceeding Expectations
It’s been a common theme this winter to talk about the balance in South Jersey boys’ basketball, but this continues to be a season of constant change.
As in change at the top of the rankings.
Eastern was the latest consensus No. 1 team in South Jersey to taste defeat, losing to a surging St. Augustine team, 59-41 in the Olympic-Cape Challenge.
This is a great event each year that matches up teams from the Olympic Conference against squads from the Cape Atlantic League.

Golf Course
• Whole in One
South Jersey Magazine ranks the best golf courses in our area, from here to the Shore.
One of the reasons golf is such a beautiful game is that behind every slice off the tee that sinks into a bunker, a 40-foot birdie might be waiting just around the corner—redemption on the very next green. Each swing of the club brings hope and promise and puts past frustrations in the rearview mirror, if only temporarily. And with a bevy of fantastic courses dotting our landscape, even on those days when you're not playing up to par, there really is no such thing as a bad round of golf in South Jersey.
Shore Golf
• Golf Coast
Myrtle Beach may be the golf mecca of the eastern seaboard, but increasingly the emerald strand of golf clubs stretching along the Jersey Shore is giving it a run for its money.
After all, this golf scene promises unmatched versatility, from timeless classics like Atlantic City Country Club and Seaview Golf Resort to instant hits like Sand Barrens, Twisted Dune and Ballamor.
